MA Event Permit Checklist: Site Prep for Your Foxborough Tent Rental

Introduction: Your Site, Your Success

While the K.O. Party Rentals team handles the all-inclusive setup of your tent, the client is responsible for ensuring the site is ready and legally compliant. Use this quick guide to check off the most important preparation steps before your equipment arrives.

Section 1: The Permit Question (Start Early!)

Permit requirements vary by town in Massachusetts, but they are often mandatory for tents over a certain size (e.g., larger than 400 sq. ft.) or those with sidewalls.

  • Action Item: Always check with your local town's Building Department (e.g., Foxborough, Mansfield) well in advance. They will provide the official requirements, and you must secure the proper permits before your installation date.

Section 2: Site Access and Safety Checklist

Avoid last-minute charges and delays by confirming these vital site factors:

  • Clear Path: Ensure a clear, wide path (at least 5 feet wide) for our delivery carts to reach the setup location. Our large 20x60 frame tents require significant space and clear access.
  • Level Ground: The ground must be reasonably level and free of debris. We cannot install tents on steep slopes.
  • Utility Clearance: Confirm the area is free of overhead wires, septic tanks, and sprinkler lines. Our crew cannot begin staking or installation until these lines are cleared.
  • Hard Surfaces: If setting up on asphalt, concrete, or pavement, you must rent our Concrete Weights. Staking is prohibited and impossible on hard surfaces.

Conclusion: Ready for Delivery

By using this checklist, you guarantee a smooth, safe installation for our team. You can then focus entirely on enjoying your worry-free event!
